THE COMMANDMENTS

Before we have our communion in the communion dresses, Hugo gave us a lesson regarding to commandments.

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

I am the LORD your God: you shall not have strange gods before Me.

You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.

Remember to keep holy the LORD's Day.

Honor your father and your mother. You shall not kill. You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal.

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.

You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.

THE GREATEST COMMANDMENTS

When the Apostles asked Jesus what was the greatest commandment, He responded saying:

"You shall love the Lord，your God，with all your heart，with all your soul，and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. "Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus is saying that loving and honoring God, as established in the first three commandments, are the most important things in our entire lives. The other seven commandments proclaim how we should love our neighbor, our fellow man, and ourselves.
